Horsehair, leather, brass nailheads

Horsehair and leather is one of the oldest combinations in upholstery. Curled horsehair holds its spring for generations, and leather wears in rather than out.

This armchair's seat was built up in horsehair and covered in burgundy leather, finished with brass nailheads along the seat rail.
