Work
Seat pan repair, foam topping, new cover, trim restoration

The seat arrived in original condition. The foam was mostly intact, with some erosion around the seat pan, so the pan was hammered back to shape in a few places, wire-brushed and enameled, and the foam core was covered with a quarter inch of high-density foam.

The original cover's seams were cut apart and used as the pattern for the new one, this time with the seams placed where they belong. Kim noted that factory quality control had missed that on the original. The aluminum trim was straightened, polished and fit back against the pan, and the hard rubber tail support was glued in place.
