A 1918 Turkish rocker Kim restored in 2000, with every puff and fold hand-stitched and stuffed with horsehair under black leather.

Kim restored this Turkish rocker in 2000. Unlike most Turkish chairs, it had wooden framing on the arm facings and outer wings rather than steel wire. There are rows of springs across the arm tops, wire framing shapes the front of the seat, and even the diamond-tufted wings have springs hand-sewn into wire framing.
Every puff and fold is hand-stitched and stuffed with horsehair. These photos were taken on 35mm film, which shifted the color, so the leather looks green here but is black. Photos of the inside construction were unfortunately lost.
