1954 chrome dinette chair, another '03 Design & Craftmanship award winner

One of several styles built exclusively for the Nebraska State
Capitol, circa 1930. To date I've rebuilt approximately 75.
One was used as the witness seat in the 2006 Hergert
impeachment trial. Historic icon, Senator Ernie Chambers
is documented, sitting on my work. Horse hair seating with cotton arm-tops.

This is a fully restored leather Turkish rocker manufactured in 1918.
Double-stuffed seat over heavy springing. Arm tops were sprung, as
were the inner wings. In excess of 150 hours in this state of
the art example of horse hair-filled tufting, hand-stitching and pleating leather.

Sleepy hollow chair, restored with horsehair first-stuffing,
stitched in burlap. This topped with down, backed with hair.
This is pulled down and shaped with ticking. Topped with cotton
and outer applied. 125 hours. Click here for more pictures.

An 1895 Melchior barber's chair from a shop in Schuyler, Nebraska.
Massive, and very accurate restoration has it proudly displayed in the
Schuyler Historical Society Museum. This was also a winning entry in
the Upholstery Journal Design and Craftsmanship contest. Click here for more pictures.
